EPD (Environmental Product Declaration)
Essepi has always been at the forefront of environmental protection and for this reason it makes great efforts to minimize the environmental impact of the production of its materials. The Environmental Product Declaration EPD issued by Essepi is the document that describes the environmental impacts related to the production of CLT/Xlam panels, such as energy and raw material consumption, waste production, atmospheric emissions and discharges.
CAM (Minimum Environmental Criteria)
The CAM Certification (Minimum Environmental Criteria) is a certificate that attests that the products have: low environmental impact and provides information on the life cycle of the product, with reference to the use of raw materials, energy use, CO2 emissions and final disposal in the form of waste.
PEFC
Essepi complies with the PEFC/18-31-1431 standards that certify forest management that meets certain sustainability requirements for all products manufactured and marketed by the Essepi company. Quantitative and qualitative parameters are observed and measured periodically and allow for the evaluation of environmental performance and the pursuit of ecologically appropriate forest management, aimed at achieving social and economically valid benefits.
EOTA
Essepi technology complies with the European Technical Approval (ETA) for the suitability of design and construction of CLT/Xlam panels for construction and for the satisfaction of the essential requirements of the Construction Work in which the product must be incorporated. The requirements of mechanical resistance and stability, safety in the event of fire, hygiene, health and environment, safety in use, protection against noise, energy saving and heat retention are met.
ISO
Essepi complies with the requirements of the ISO 9001:2015 Quality Management System standard, assessed according to the provisions of Technical Regulation RT-05 for the design, production and installation of wooden and wood-aluminium exterior windows and doors and for the design, production and installation of CLT/Xlam panels.
CE
Essepi products comply with the essential requirements established by the Directives for marketing and use in the European Union. The mark covers the entire production cycle: from design to manufacturing, from placing on the market to putting the product into service up to disposal. Essepi construction products have the CE marking compatible with the Declaration of Performance (DoP) according to the new Regulation
CNR-IBE

The quality of Essepi CLT/Xlam windows and panels is subjected to daily checks with in-house mechanical tests on glued joints and with tests performed by Cnr-IBE. Through the rigorous protocols established by Cnr-IBE, the resistance class and humidity of the wood, the temperature and humidity of the environment, the dimensional tolerances, the weight of the adhesive, the gluing pressures and all the process parameters that influence the quality of the product are checked and documented.
Eurofins Expert Services
The declaration of performance of Essepi CLT/Xlam panels is determined by the European technical assessment carried out by the notified certification body Eurofins Expert Services in accordance with the procedures established by EOTA European Organisation for Technical Assessment for construction products.
ARCA
Essepi is a Prodotto ARCA partner and produces CLT / Xlam panels that comply with the rigorous quality standards contained in the ARCA Prodotto ARCA GOLD and PLATINUM Technical Regulations. The Essepi technical team includes ARCA accredited designers: the company supplies CLT / Xlam panels for the construction of wooden buildings, elevations and extensions that can guarantee the final client the ARCA construction Certification.
