Essepi fulfills the requirements of the ISO 9001:2015 Standard for Quality Management Systems which have been evaluated according to the provisions of Technical Regulation RT-05 for the design, production, and installation of windows and doors in wood and wood-aluminum for exteriors and for the design, production, and installation of X-Lam panels.
Essepi products comply with the essential requirements for sale and use within the European Union that have been established in the relevant Directives and which have been provided for in the entire production cycle: from design to construction, from the introduction to the market to the product being placed into service, all the way to its ultimate disposal. Essepi construction products carry the CE mark which is compatible with the Declaration of Performance (DoP) in accordance with the new European Regulation CPR 305/2011.
Essepi technology meets the essential requirements of the European Technical Approval (ETA) for the design and realization of works: mechanical resistance and stability; safety in the event of fire; hygiene, health, and environment; safety with use; protection against noise; energy savings; and heat retention.
Essepi is a Qualified ARCA Partner [Partner Qualificato ARCA (PQA) ] as a construction company dealing with buildings, the adding of floors, and expansions in wood that are capable of guaranteeing to the end customer the rigorous quality standards that are contained in the applicable ARCA Technical Regulations.
The CasaClima seal of quality (GOLD category) confirms the energy characteristics of Essepi windows and the fulfillment of all of the higher technical standards. They correspond to the containment of comprehensive energy dispersions (up to 40%) and to the capacity to improve the wellbeing of the environments in terms of illumination, the reduction of irradiation, seal with regard to air and rain, and absence of condensation. Additional parameters that have been verified and certified include safety during daily use and resistance over time.
The quality of the Essepi XXL panels is verified daily with in-house mechanical tests on the glued joints and with delamination tests for the production batches carried out by Cnr-Ivalsa. By means of rigorous protocols established by Cnr-Ivalsa, what are steadily inspected and documented are the resistance class and the moisture of the wood, the environmental temperature and humidity, the dimensional tolerances, the grammage of the adhesive, the gluing pressure, and all of the process parameters that have an influence upon the quality of the product.
Essepi has passed laboratory tests for the calculation and classification of air permeability, water seal, and load resistance from wind for windows, doors, and glass doors. Analysis and calculations of thermal transmittance are carried out by means of numerical methods.
The performance declaration for the XXL panels is determined by the European technical evaluation through the action of the notifying body of VTT certification, the Technical Research Centre of Finland in conformance with the procedures established by the EOTA European Organisation for Technical Assessment for construction products.
Safety Policy
Essepi is committed to guaranteeing the best possible conditions of health and safety at work sites, including in terms of the prevention of risks for workers. The subject areas relating to the health and safety of workers are managed by means of a structured system that guarantees the methodical application of principles of planning, management, analysis, inspection, and improvement in accordance with the UNI INAIL S.G.S.L. – MPI guidelines. This commitment has been recognized numerous times over the years by the Autonomous Province of Trento with the “Working in Safety Award”.
