Le Sfumature Residence

Residence with a structure entirely in wood and an energy bill close to zero, thanks to high tech solutions capable of fully exploiting renewable sources of energy and with the support of home automation.  The building has three floors above ground and eight apartments with the gross floor space varying from 90 to 176 sq.  m, with overhanging terraces that thus far have never before been realized in wooden buildings of similar dimensions.  Exterior and interior walls and floors have been realized with Essepi XXL X-Lam panels.  The project provided for the use of a single block, a revolutionary construction solution that was designed and tested by the Essepi team which consists of an integrated wall-window structure that is produced at the factory and installed directly at the building site.  The soul of the single block is composed of X-Lam panels with an “exterior wall window opening” function and with all windows from Essepi, and it is provided with all of the technological elements and structural components necessary for the residence in addition to accessories, such as integrated screens and Venetian blinds.
