Transport
Our trucks
For the transport of CLT/Xlam panels we use standard articulated trucks which differ depending on whether the transport takes place vertically or horizontally:
– The wall panels and window walls are fixed to a trestle (first figure)
– Floor panels are usually transported horizontally (second figure)
Both articulated trucks
they are covered by a light sheet.
For the transport of non-standard sizes, panels with a height greater than 2,95 meters and particularly heavy panels we use special vehicles with exceptional transport. Access to the construction site must be suitable for an articulated vehicle with a length of 18,5 meters, with a mass of 40 tons. In case the means of transport are sent by the customer, they must be equipped with suitable trestles for the vertical transport of panels or with lateral posts for fixing.
Container transport
For intermodal shipments (road vehicle, rail wagon or ship) standard containers are used as per European or international regulations.
The length of the containers is expressed in “feet – ft”
according to the codes reported in the ISO 668:2020 standard
